King Arthur, Titular leader of the Warband : Druids @ Stonehenge Winter Solstice series.

By UrbaneMagick
Good morning & happy Saturday everyone.

Tomorrow, I have an appointment (as such) to go & meet King Arthur in person outside Stonehenge.
He has aksed for a couple of photos (not yet posted on here) & therefore I get to meet the man as opposed to taking a candid shot..hopefully in the long term, this will also oen avenues for me to take photographs of more members of the 150 strong "Warband."

So, although several more to come in the series, I thought it time that you met King Arthur, I;ve osted of him from behind gazing at the sunrise, but as he's so high up in the order, I thought it best you should see him in all his splendour.

If this series has sparked any interest in you, then it may well be worth while getting the book from Amazon : The Trials O f King Arthur ( now updated to :"revisited"....although you can buy a second hand copy for no more than a couple of quid on there.
The trials tells the story of the guy ahead, how in 1986 he went from biker to King & his fights for religous freedom as well as the bypass protests etc etc etc it's a very good & interesting read.

King Arthur is the head of the political wing of the Druidic faith.

Thankyou for looking,
Gareth

Thanks Jeremy... one of my least favourite photo's this one.... is hard to snatch a solo portrait without the subject knowing :-p
........ the headband is his pagan crown , actually made of polished Iron I believe (iron signifying strength).
Thankyou everyone for the votes on this... kind of you.

Fantastic photo Gareth, the colour popping is brilliantly placed. The mistletoe caught my eye - stands out to me in this image as if it has a significant meaning to the image but not sure what it is - I can feel a strong energy from your images Gareth. I love the interesting narratives you also produce with your images. The stories of the original King Arthur have always be favourites of mine and when told that it is just a legend, I replied I don't believe in lies.
The books sounds interesting and the fact he fights for religious freedom. This particular King Arthur looks and sounds like an amazing charater - you have captured him well - I cannot understand why this is your least favourite photo - take another look at it.

Thank you for the vote and comment on Nature is perfect. You are right - Anyone who says they can improve on nature by destroying it and erecting buildings is a complete moron - in this time and age, anyone who can still be manipulated in this way needs to WAKE UP!.

So excited about your news that your images have proved worthy enough to be noticed - GOOD LUCK in the future Gareth

Hi Ava....ahh thanks for the comments.... The mistletoe is strong in Druidic belief & signifies rebirth I believe...

I have to cut a dash, got to go to work.
..but huge thankyou Smile
