King of the Hill

A silly photograph, but I like it. Taken early in the morning when I got up for the sun rise, just the sun forgot to turn up.

Taken from the top of the struggle to Kirk stone pass in the lake district on a 500mm lens. The sheep was just standing there, across a divide, staring at me wondering who the idiot with the camera and tripod was so. An attempt to play with selective focus.

Yes brilliant. For climbing up there in 1st place. The focus throws her forward so you can't take your eyes of her.

As this image began to paint down my screen when I opened it, I was going, "what happened to the focus????" And then the lamb appeared. What a neat facial expression it has, and the selective focus is just so perfect to set it off. What a terrific shot. Love it!

Really like this and suprised it hasn't had a bit more attention. Perhaps feels a little cropped off at the bottom, but the use of selective focus is spot on.
