Kingfisher - went shopping

By drbird
Kingfisher are just strikingly beautiful and to get close to them and get some images of their hunting skills - well I think it is a real privilege. Alan has certainly made a terrific job with setting up the hide. This makes things so much easier. But doing flight shots clearly is best done with a camera with good high ISO and a high frame rate. A 1 DXll or a a Nikon D5 is probably the best choice but even with a crop camera nice images are possible.

Obviously doesn't mind getting soaked in search of his dinner. Admirable timing.
