Must try this technique, it does give lots of detail. Really pleasing shot

I have never liked what HDR does to the sky, as here, however the rest of the detail you achieved, especially in the buildings makes up for it, good work Paul.

Cracking iamge Paul. Not too heavy on the HDR which I think is the trick to it. Great composition. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in 2008. Happy New Year and see you in a weeks time.

I agree about trying HDR, but it looks like you are getting the same problem I really struggle with on HDR, you get the foreground spot on, then you get the middle of the sky looking dramatic, but where the two meet you get a really bad halo.
The only way I've found to get round this is to do a standard process of the sky and overlay the HDR foreground. I'm afraid I can't see past the halo on this image, but I hope you find my comment constructive. I do love the composition and the way the water and stone work works on the image.

Nice composition Paul, very chocolate-boxy. Not mad keen on the HDR here, very difficult to get right in daylight shots. Would have liked to see the original for comparison.
