it is a mature piece of composition, the statue is used here as a mirror
of the couple, notwithstanding the high dynamic range of the scene you have maintained a proper exposure as well. the branches of the tree is used here to frame the subject, lovely work, but as you have sent it to the critique gallery i must say that there is a bit noise in the picture, particularly at the sky. i do not know the technique you have used for this shot because you have not yet post it. can you post it? so that it would be easy to say something.

i am giving you 90/100 for this shot and particularly for the composition.

This is a wonderful image, a story, of a kiss, a first kiss perhaps- as sweet and as innocent as the kiss of the cherubs. Yet a first kiss, the first kiss, is the beginning, the foundation, of the rest of our lives and though we may not think it at the time, always changes everything. Where have you been hiding this?

First your implied question "The building seems leaning backward". This is because the camera was pointing upwards when you took the shot. If you try looking at a building through the viewfinder and point the camera level, then up, then down, you will see at the same time that the walls of the building appear to be straight, then leaning back, then leaning forward. But this picture is about the lovers kiss, so in this case, don't worry about the building.

The counterpoint between the lovers and the cherubs is well seen, but I also like the way you have captured the building with its cathedral-like pillars, and, as is your style, framed it with the drooping leaves. The weaknesses of the image are that there is a great deal of contrast due to the bright overhead light casting deep shadows, that the cherubs don't stand out from the background enough, and the surprising amount of noise in the sky- perhaps due to a high ISO setting on the camera (which can be checked from the original image).

In my mod I have tried to deal with each of these points. In brief I-
- used a noise reduction filter to remove the majority of the noise
- used selective levels adjustments to recover detail from the deep shadow areas
- selected the cherubs and the lovers and copied them to a new layer
- selectively de-saturated the background layer so the cherubs and the lovers stood out more clearly

I can provide a significantly more detailed breakdown of the steps involved in each of these changes if you wish- just post a message.

I hope you find the changes an improvement. Great image, easily your best yet-

you can use the perspective tool to fix the 'leaning' of the building.
