Knowlton Trail

By NickLucas
This Norman church, which was built in the 12th century, is situated at the centre of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork. The unusual pairing of the henge and the church symbolises the transition from pagan to Christian worship. It is supposed to be one on the most haunted places in England. However, having stood with my camera for an hour to get this shot, I can say that the strangest thing I encountered was a sound of a sheep coughing in the next field. Ghosts and ghouls belong with Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy Smile
That's the International Space Station in the upper right.
