La flèche de fer de la cathédrale

By GwailoAngMo
One of the historic buildings in Perpignan is the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The Bishopric had formerly been at Elne, now a quiet little place but worth a detour if you visit this region.

According to my internet research, Philippe Barthélemy built an iron spire (flèche de fer) on the tower in 1743. I know no more.

You will have to trust me, but the sky was that blue on Xmas day, 2003.

In colour only for obvious reasons.
