La Salle Mountains

A panoramic view of the La Salle Mountains which lie to the east of Moab Utah. If you ever get to go to the Canyonlands a good place to stay is the Pack Ranch located about halfway up the largest of the peaks. Its the oldest working horse ranch in the area. You can go explore the canyons till around noon then retreat back to the mountain to avoid the killer heat of the afternoon. Very large herds of deer there as well. Several scenic roadways to explore. One of them leads to another wonder of the area Castle Valley.
