Lacada Point

By PMWilliams
Lacada Point can be seen from the Giants Causeway and the chimneys of rock add to an already dramatic landscape. Last Saturday evening we took the walk round so that I could photograph the setting sun off this point. I don't have a head for heights and it took some nerve on my behalf to get closer to the edge than I would normally like, considering its the first week in July the wind was freezing and I'm not sure if it was my legs shaking from cold or fear but I took time to reflect on the 1300 men who lost their lives as the Spanish Armada sailed through these waters.

Good use of foreground for leading lines and the long shutter has certainly smoothed out the sea

Well done

Well worth the discomfort when you saw the results I'm sure. I used to be able to stand on the edge like this but I'm not as good at it now.
