...resting on the Shoebury sands in pre dawn blue light - slack tide was over and the water rising with about an hour to go until sunrise - that rising tide is always something to watch coming in around your feet...

it's the ropes that add that finishing touch. If they wer straight it wouldn't be the same.
works very well as a panoramic (as I discovered when I scrolled the page down Smile).

Sandy, the lights you see are on the Kent side of the Thames Estuary, I'm often glad of their warm glow on blue sky mornings...

Peter, the tide here at the mouth of the River Thames goes out about a mile or so at low water, I'd guess - and comes in at quite a pace. We have to be very careful out there and watch each others backs...!!! I guess we go out about 200M maximum to photograph the boats at this point.
