I was reading a book on composition recently, the first chapter is entitled "Point". Fits the bill well.
This is a crop for a landscape shot, I had one in portrait but the ladybird was not sharp, I tried copying it over from one photo to the other but the blue sky came through - the angle was different and the other had little sky background.
