After our enjoyable circular walk on Tuesday up Hay Stacks and Fleetwith Pike we popped into Buttermere village for a spot of liquid refreshment. This is the view of our walk from the village. For those into walking in the Lakes , Hay Stacks is the final resting place of Alfred Wainwright -- the historically acclaimed writer and fell walker. We had lunch on the summit with him. Enjoy. Regards John
