I can see from v5 that this farmer still puts bands on their tails when they are born - eventually the tail will drop off. Its an old fashioned practise to avoid the tails getting infested with maggots. Not seen so much these days
v4 is a very endearing capture SmileSmile

Great set, once again. Those lambs must be quite a size by now.

A really wonderful set here Ed, my favourite shot being V7 - but I love the lamb with the brown and white face & brown knees.......mmmmmmwwhhhhaaa Grin

That's an interesting comment from Helen......I did not know banding of their tails was practises or why.
I feel these are the best sheep and lamb shots you have posted so far, Ed, and for me V 1 takes a lot of beating.

A lovely set of images - my favourite is v1 as I like the off-centre grouping but they're all gorgeous.

I think I like this set the most, Ed, because the inclusion of the adult with the young makes for a much nicer composition, and gives the family-group feeling to them, which is very pleasing. V5 is just beautiful, and V7 rates high on the cute factor, too.
