Great shot. The house at the bottom gives the image a great scale so you can actually see how high it is.

This is a Lakeland landscape I'd have been proud of were it mine: beautifully composed with the farmstead nestling beneath the towering fell, and what enhances this shot is that fairly strong side lighting casting a lovely balance of shadowed to sunlit areas. Excellent landscape photography, Keith.

This image certainly shows the scale of Harrison Stickle - the detail is fabulous, particularly in the shadows. Great image Keith!

'A week or two' ???.......not enough time !!......I've been photographing the LD for about 35 years, & I'm still
finding new stuff to shoot all the time..........try going for 12 months, every day, then you might see it all !!.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Magnificent view, Keith. Your choice of portrait format is perfect, combined with the inclusion of the buildings, to show the scale of the 'rock' in the background.
I look forward to seeing the images you took from the top of H. Stickle looking back towards where you took this one from.Tongue

Malc.GrinGrin.....I wish my old pins would get me up there, my walking is restricted to low level/valley walks these days !!SadSad

I've summited Harrison Stickle 3 times in the past, & got the pictures to prove it !.Tongue.......but they're just prints from 35mm film, so won't appear here !.Smile

This lighting does pick out the wonderful detail of Harrison Stickle. Like the portrait format to show the depth to the image. Nice one. Have seen and climbed this peak in so many different weather conditions. Not all like you have here I have to say Keith. !! paul
