I really don't know what it is. I think that it maybe a lantern or just a piece of beautiful craftsman's work.I always wanted to take a photo of it, after some years,I did it on MondayGrin.All comments and criticisms are welcome.Thank you.
(It is in Newark, opposite the castle)

It doesn't have a light inside, maybe it did at some time, but the ironwork is certainly attractive. Glad you got to photograph it at last. It's a pity the background tree hides the ironwork on the left, but on the other hand I think it adds a softness to the image. Nice treatment.
