Lantern(?)

By xwang
I really don't know what it is. I think that it maybe a lantern or just a piece of beautiful craftsman's work.I always wanted to take a photo of it, after some years,I did it on MondayGrin. All comments and criticisms are welcome.Thank you.
(It is in Newark, opposite the castle)

A great shot - well spotted and well taken - and a nice piece of work on the lantern too

Good to use black and white here. The wintry tree in the background enhances the delicate metalwork.

A fine image, excellent craftmanship regarding the lantern and a wonderful capture including what looks to be a turbulent sky.

It doesn't have a light inside, maybe it did at some time, but the ironwork is certainly attractive. Glad you got to photograph it at last. It's a pity the background tree hides the ironwork on the left, but on the other hand I think it adds a softness to the image. Nice treatment.
