Large grizzled skipper

By Mike_Young
Firstly many thanks to Martinjp and Natureshaven(Julia) for their U/As on my Jay image, I'm very chuffed to accept them, thanks also to everyone else who voted and commented, as always I'm always grateful for the interest shown.

Today is the turn of the Grizzled skippers bigger cousin the Large grizzle skipper, a rather understated little butterfly that has plenty of attitude in the field. Launching speedy attacks on any insect encroaching on its territory.

A top quality macro Mike, the detail is immaculate. I haven't seen a grizzled skipper for several years now
