Large Slightly Shiny Globe!

By TrevBatWCC
Everyone visiting the Clarence Dock area of Leeds photographs the large shiny reflective globes - this smaller and less shiny one is at the opposite end of the dock. I don’t know what it is supposed to represent or what it's called (so struggling for a title!) but it was just to the left of this raised paved platform it stands on that my 'Girl wearing a scarf' is located.
Well, the MRI brain scan on Thursday went well, though I will have to wait for the results. The colonoscopy yesterday was something I hope I don’t have to go through again...and yes, it was horrendous! Sad But not being able to have anyone accompany me home from the hospital unit and stay with me for 24 hours (on this occasion, anyway), had to have it without sedation, which I guess, made it feel worse and was rather painful. Three small polyps were found and removed for further examination, but the good news was there was no cancer found. It was interesting though to see the inside of my err, inside, on the large LCD screen! The picture quality was's a pity I couldn't have had a screen shot, it would have made a great abstract to upload….Wink
Why have I got links added in the text of my last upload - and this - (i.e., the words 'bonus', 'cancer screening' and 'polyps' which I didn't add?!!....seems like it's some Google Chrome plugin...!

Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Trev Smile

I think that globe has been placed there just to block the view of urban landscape toggers, Trev.
But it does make an interesting f/g artefact in itself.
Good news on the colonoscopy and I hope the same proves so on the MRI.
Keep of good cheer!

Glad to hear the good news so far, Trev.
Had never envisaged you as an abstract photographer BlushBlushBlush
I too reckon this looks better than the shiny globe which was too fly-blown to allow decent photos last time I saw it.

Never saw this when I went to photograph the huge shiny globes Trev, but that was few years ago so maybe this is a newer addition. Lovely shot. Glad you survived all the medical examinations.

Looks like the ball from a demolition crane, Trev. Always wanted to have a go with one of those!.
Patina is always more interesting than polished.

Glad to hear the positive news about your inside bits, hope the rest of the news is equally good when you get the results.

So glad that your hospital visits seen to show positive outcomes.
I only know Leeds from visits to Headingly, so your recent posts are interesting and giving me an impression of the city itself.

I think, there had been done great work on the docks in GB, where ever they are... Liverpool, London, Leeds... Super image of a quarter of the town, that surely had not been on of the best addresses in the past.
Good to hear everything went well and no big problems occured. I'll keep my fingers crossed, anyway. (Btw. it is hard to type with crossed fingers. Tongue)
