Large White

Large White butterfly.

Very common - not popular with gardeners - I thought it looked quite good on a Verbena flower.

Such lovely detail on the white, and a good dark background.
I tried planting lots of wild flower seeds, but I think I need to re-think to attract butterflies into the garden.

You are righr Brian as soon as you plant any of the Brassica family along comes your Cabbage white and flits about so prettily , resting on the underside of a leaf to lay a few eggs which turn into your caterpillars which cause such Haddock !!

I agree he looks so pretty resting on the Verbena. I have hardly seen any butterflies this year Sad
