Last Ferry Home

By digicammad
Taken on Friday night after the fireworks had finished and the QE2 (plus most of the crowds) had left. The new buildings not in this image may be modern and flashy but this is the view of the waterfront which most people associate with Liverpool.

At the right is a ferry on its way back to the city, blurred by the 15 second exposure.

I've uploaded a mono version for comparison.

Thanks for looking, all comment and critique welcome.

s'ok, i s'pose Smile

Actually, it looks a bit dark here, but it may well be the monitor. Will have a proper look when I get home mate.

I'd be interested to know whether it looks dark on another calibrated monitor Anthony, I've not calibrated this one for a few months so maybe it has drifted. You should be able to see some ripple detail in the river in the left foreground.

Im on a dell something or other in work, virtually no details in the bottom of the shot, some slightly lighter areas, but almost nothing to write home about. I'll be home in about an hour or so, will check when I get in on my own screen, which is much better thatn this one.

ok, home now, had a peek, and there is definite striations of colour (like that? he he) in the water now. My laptop screen is not calibrated, but pretty close to correct. So, all looks good to me here now.

Goog image Ian - this looks much better at home than it does on my pc at work, where it is rather dark.

Thanks Robbie, you'll have to get them to calibrate it for you. Smile
