Very well spotted. this is emerging rust, at a young but promising age.
yes, you have to get close enough. To record important detail like - why is where one bit of blank metal- and to asses different types of rust:
there is the grainy sand type, abit like Chris chin when he saves on razorblades, the apple by type, with big layers peeling of and the slate type ( fine layers.)
Not to forget the different types of rust intruders, like paint Smile

The nails look like headlamps.

Had a bit to do with the state department of housing here many years ago, if the screws heads didn't line up they would knock the job back.

25cm/10 inches approx. on my screen, Mick. I think the G11 is actually an enlarger Wink
Can't hang around to chat this morning. It's p***ing with rain and I have to go out.
You might say I have been galvanised into action, unlike the two screws in this pic that have not been galvanised at all!

Its a good one Mike , and a good camera too I have the G12 which i use at work quite a bit , and have had excellent results. The screw on the left could do with another half turn

Well done

A little cockeyed I think. Your G11 does a great job of macro. I will have to see how my old G7 does for macro. I've never really been into macro much so that will be interesting to try.............Sandy

Think I'm going to have to take a self-portrait, as with all this rain we've had - and especially on the Camera Club outing yesterday, I've gone a bit rusty! Wink Great close-up, Mick, reminds me of two eyes Wink

Nice work Mick. Unlike Annette I am unable to make such fine qualitative judgements on rust (she's an engineer for goodness sake and they create the stuff) but I can say that I like it, so much so that I have even found some rusty rocks and photographed them here in Spain!

The G11 has done you proud again mate, terrific detail in this one. I bet it also fits in your pocket so you don't have to lug heavy gear around and you can not forget it when you go down the pub!Tongue
