Laurel Hill Cemetery #11

By handlerstudio
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As we have scene, this cemetery is very hilly...which clearly has been a boon to the "Architects" and builders, suited to crypts and mausoleums, beautiful rolling hilly vistas for graves, and views of the Schuylkill River Valley. (Remember, Philadelphia is bordered on its eastern edge by the Delaware River and split in the middle by the Schuylkill River, famed mostly for its rowing tradition (and Eakins paintings) and the regattas that still take place and are some of the most important in the country.

So, tonight's theme is vistas, small and large. And, of course, this being a cemetery, mono V. color.

And, not to be left out....I got my second shot today! So far, nothing worse than a slightly, very slightly, sore left arm.

Colour does add the special feeling one gets in a graveyard. Like flowers do. B&w always seems spooky and like there's ghosts hiding behind head stones.

Loving the mono shots here Peter, maybe because they are the spooky looking ones, maybe because they just look old and historical.....good job with these anyway, very intriguing, i find myself looking for spooks and things that shouldn't be there lol.

Is the building in V5 inhabited by someone living or dead? Looks pretty big.
