Laurel Hill Cemetery #15

By handlerstudio

Laurel Hill on one side is bordered by Fairmont Park, Kelly Drive and the Schuylkill River....on the other by Ridge Avenue and a gritty neighborhood. We are in a big city.

I am not sure what that structure is in the back ground but I like the use of the headstones to foreground it.
(Thank you for the award and you comment. You actually hit on the trick to doing macros with that camera. Thank you also for the tip.)

Why do cemetaries always look so creepy?

Because that's where dead people live.

Interesting images Peter. I often find that urban cemeteries are next to run down areas as towns expand and change.

Are we looking at a diner in v1&2? or a train?

Great photo. Love the almost natural border of the trees.
Nice set Peter.

The miniature headstones in front of the parents headstones are so sad . Not the best life expectancies back then....the microwave tower makes for a unique backdrop in the lead Peter ..well seen and captured . Sorry about the flyers ...I guess they are not doing well I hear.
Cheers Walt
