Laurel Hill Cemetery #3

By handlerstudio
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Another series of color and mono photos of the Laurel Hill Cemetery, overlooking the Schuylkill River. Some of them might be better in color...and I will lead with that when it feels right.

The President had his first news conference today. He has made plenty of statements and speeches. But his first news conference. Some say he is being the Anti-Trump....quiet and not craving attention. It does go down easy...and with him in office, Covid priorities mostly se3m to be working....and dealing with climate change is a huge issue for him. Bravo!!

And a grateful thanks to Isabel for her UA yesterday.

Peter

Lovely set, Peter. A lot of history in that cemetery.

Good set Peter.
I find it interesting how often you can come across small cemeteries from different wars on your travels. It's easy to overlook how many 'local' troops were used in the forces of the British Empire so a place like Jinja in Uganda for example has a small cemetery for local Busoga men killed in the first and second world wars. They are dotted all over the world.

V5 probably my favourite too. Important people seem to get large imposing memorials but they're just as dead as the rest of them.

Also, when I am on my bicycle on country roads (slower than in a car....I see things) I will pass a family cemetery by the side of the road, sometimes well tended....sometimes not.

Great light Peter, an excellent set.
Lead shot and V2 are my favourites today. Isabel GrinGrinGrin
