Laurel Hill Cemetery #3

By handlerstudio

A number of the images in this set seem pretty religious....not being Christian, I have no idea what the "piles of stones" represent....clearly some sort of religious meaning...someone here will be able to elucidate....Some of today's images may be better in color....given that it was a cloudy day, contrast was very low, and I'm some images, the "value" of the stones and the grass was not much different...and they fade into the grass,

A fascinating set, David. V6 and 7 a neat little sword in the stone - legend of King Arthur, not sure how this connects to a burial. Good mono images.

Dave 🙂

A fine collection, Peter - the mono shots work best for me.

Mono for me too Peter. V3 and V4 my favourites.

V4 is my favourite and I can think of a couple of reasons for the rocks. Rocks represent endurance, stability and permanence and being connected to the earth. So I wonder who is buried there that might have had that connection. Geologist and farmer come immediately to mind. It could also be connected to the quote `"And the meek shall inherit the earth."
