Laurel Hill Cemetery #6

By handlerstudio

Look carefully at this one....notice...they are both still alive...Wallace and Ellyn seem to have decided to create their space at Laurel Hill (with a beautiful view of the river valley and Kelly Drive below) in advance. Something I have never seen anywhere before....brings to mind two movie scenes...the funeral scene in Waking Ned Devine, one of the funniest movies I have ever seen...and a scene I think of at every funeral I attend) and the scene in the Python's Jabberwocky where they are pulling a cart through (I think ) London saying Bring Out Your Dead....and a one of the Pythons gets thrown on the cart and says, I'm not dead yet, with the will be.

Thanks to Glenn (Conant ) for his UA for Harry Kalas's an American, I imagine he gets baseball, even though he lives in Vermont (he might be a Red Sox fan)

And waiting for a snappy comment from Dora......

Not so unusual as you may think. My mother paid for her funeral God only knows when. She went first class and receipts say it cost her $600. And her name was on the tombstone long before she died. The last summer I was home I made the arrangements for my brother because I had no idea where I would be when it happened and I am next of kin. I was leaving the funeral home, an employee with a bowed head, said I am sorry for your loss. the dearly deceased and I had a good laugh over that.

They have just made arrangements - likely her idea. But if they get divorced ... could be awkward.

It does seem strange. But then we all do strange things at times.

We all think we might live forever.

May be it's some sort of humming in the dark? I'm sadly lacking when it comes to faith and in some ways I regret it.

All of our parents paid ahead for their funerals---- no headstones---and there never will be--but it was a pleasure to know their wishes when the time happened---
