[quote.we have Northern Drizzle and it is not a posh salad dressing!]
No salad dressing, makes the chips go soggyTongue Curry sauce is OK. Nice image of why I baled out of UK, but not the only reason. Thanks.

A wonderfully atmospheric industrial dawn, Kath.
A great title and I like your intro too.
(Not many matchstick men after the lockdown.)

A powerful and resilient image Kath, and as for the Salad dressing, didn’t it made the tomato blush, as the old quip goes! I’ve never seen an old quip yet but hope to soon 🙂

Thanks everyone for the comments and humour, taken from a Tesco car park, a number of years ago and a number of the mills and chimneys have gone now.

Sorry you felt the need to bale out Nigel, we all have to make life choices. The industrial heritage, warts and all is in my blood and I'm at ease with the industrial landscape. Just fifteen minutes in the car from this location and I'm standing on open moorland surrounded by nature. Hey but you still like chips and curry sauce so not all bad eh? WinkWinkWink

Dave...I can hear Basil Brush going Boom, Boom after your joke!

Alan, thanks so much for the UA! Thought I'd drag myself away from those moors for a while!

An excellent industrial scene - could work without the dramatic sky too as a letterbox.

Thanks Kate and can see what you mean. I've already cropped quite a bit of sky but I'll have another look!

I love the layers here, Kath, especially the silhouettes in the foreground.
An excellent panorama with loads of atmosphere.

The silhouettes in the foreground and dank background give a really 50's/60's industrial feel to this.
I'm with the other, excellent panorama.

A wonderful dark and satanic panorama, Kath 👍 I guess all the matchstick men are currently indoors self-isolating... 😳

Great capture Kath. It is certainly an atmospheric scene. Love your ‘ Northern Drizzle’ joke. It’s a great name for a salad dressing. We have yet another ‘murky March’ day here!

Take care

Thank you Richard, Trev and Karen for the comments and votes and Dave for your UA too, that's brightened up the drizzle!

I've grown up around mills and canals etc. The Pennine areas are a heady mix of Moor and Industry, full of history and a real mixture of light and dark.

Thanks again,
Kath

All been said but I love it a lot Kath. Dark, brooding, industrial, drizzly. Reminiscent of the past. Well you still get drizzly.
Wonderful picture and leave the sky (it works for me).

Sandy, that's not drizzle, that's heat haze from the mill chimneys! SmileSmileSmile

Thanks.
