Leap of Conviction

A Leap of Conviction.

I was on my way up to the Trinnacle, always a good hike up ashway gap, but had the real pleasure of bumping into a runner/climber, who was on his way down, we started to have a good natter and deep conversations were had later, Lorenzo, the person in this photo kindly volunteered to accompany me to Trinnacle as I wanted to shoot a person in the landscape shot. As we chatted, he told me he would want to jump between the two pinnacles, and I said yep, I would love to photograph you.

For me, I now don't generally like to shoot directly into the sun when the sun is still quite strong, severe flaring and a blob on the horizon can be a little detracting from the final image, but to capture the essence of Lorenzo, and his self-belief as he made this jump does it for me.
