Ledges

By Maddie
i managed to get out yesterday and walked what seemed like miles.
On the clifftops fighting the wind finally getting down onto the coast.

I slipped up on my backside, twisted my wrist and got my foot stuck in between two rocks, lol

finally after packing up, had the long walk back hurrying before it got dark, i managed to fall over again and got my hair caught up in a branch.

Finally walking back along the last piece of beach before the tide cut us off.

quite an eventful afternoon!

There can be a direct correlation between adversity and results. In which case this will get 500 votes! That is quite a story and I'm impressed. I hope you have recovered by now. This looks like such an isolated place with the rock layers and erosion. Almost like Mars with water.

All looks a bit grubby to me and lacking definition and depth.....which now makes me feel so guilty for saying it.

Good lead lines. A very good shot particularly given the weather conditions.

Lovely composition Maddie, with those ridges drawing the eye into the shot. Hope the aches and pains have gone ... maybe it should have been title 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' ;-D

If you think it is grubby, try reprocessing the raw file by lowering the contrast a bit, and raising the light level to the point where the brightest spots are almost blown out. Then go into PS and darken the brightest spots with some levels adjustments just in those areas. Then select the darker areas and give those some punch with higher levels.

...and we had only those dangerous wolves in our corners today ; )

SERIOUSLY! It´s all over in the news! BUT I´m not afraid of the wolves : )

Worth all those damages, Maddie!

I have to disagree with you though....
You do know something about HDR! Right!? LOL...

Hello Maddie,
A fine shot of a particularly familiar spot.
Pleased to hear you made it back in one piece.
Sounds like I had a similar ordeal to yours on the way back to the car,I fell in a ditch,LOL.
At least you got back before it was dark.I got back to my car at 7.30pm by which time it was pitch black, how I got back I don't know.
Scrambling along unfamiliar cliff paths at night won't be something I'll be doing again in a hurry, not without a torch, anyway,LOL.
Nice meeting you.

Justin.

Good grief, you've been through the wars, Maddie. Saying this is a gorgeous image may be no compensation, but nonetheless it certainly is gorgeous.
