Leeds Castle revisited....

By NDODS
Good day to you all

Firstly I would like to thank you all for your most gracious comments and vote following yesterdays upload of 'Leeds Castle take a punt panoramic'. A further mention going to the following: Dickspics (Richard), Pentaxpatti (Patricia) TrebbatsWCC (Trevor), Netta 1234 (Netta), HarrietH (Harriet) and Alan_Baseley (Alan) for their most appreciated User Awards.

So many asked for more images so I have uploaded this image of the castle itself sat in its beautiful surrounding.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend, and I thank you all again.

Regards as always Nathan GrinGrinGrin

Firstly well done for getting this shot with no people in it Nathan (or did you remove them?)Wink and secondly , well done for some very good and ap't processing of the versions. A great shot, worthy of a place in any Leeds Castle Magazine or Booklet, well done Sir Smile

Beautiful images,Nathan. V1 and 3 for me,like Pascalg. ---- The building itself only a little out of symmetry , i wonder why? --- But very well taken in any case! ---- Jukka.

Potentially a nice image so a vote for its potential. Nice idea to use the grass lines as lead in lines but they should have led to the front door, so a better POV could have been chosen to achieve this. Also they all seem a little flat to me, especially the mono and sepia toned versions though it applies to them all - more post processing needed to remediate this. You seem to like instructions from the Internet so take your choice from here:-

Fab! The grass lines lead your eye straight to the stunning castle. V1 and V3 for me.

7 Sep 2013 9:15AM
I like v1 best - the colour enhances the shot. Our lawn was like that when we moved in here - never been like it since!!!

A great shot Nathan, I think the original is my favourite. A perfect English summer day in the grounds of a stately home, what could be nicer.

I love Leeds Castle - it's such a beautiful place. I'm going to vote for V1 as I like to see the colour of the place.

I do think Lynne is wrong Nathan, you have composed this image to keep us peasants away from the front door, and to go around to the back to the tradesman entrance, not a lot of detail in the sky but a beautiful blue in the colour version, so my choice, did the very rich Barclay brothers once own this castle?

An excellent capture and processed to give some quite different versions, Nathan.
Each one has its own particular appeal; my particular favourite is V1.
Wish my lawn(sorry, moss!) was that well manicured!!

The original has more punch and is a lovely image of the Castle with a good sky to help things along.
V3 has a bit of contrast with the building a bit bighter but I think it needs something more.

LOVE the colour and light in V1, Nathan. Not a fan of Vs 2 and 4 'cos for me, this scene doesn't lend itself to mono. The sky and vignetting in V3 work well, though. To my eyes.
