Lemon Drop

By Anthony
was bored last night, so had a play.

I had bought a lemon, and wanted to shoot the lemon dropping into water. I think I got that, lol

Shot with my old Canon 300D, 17 - 85 IS USM lens, I had to use the 300D as I needed to use my cable release, and I dont have one for the 30D.

Processed through Capture 1, then into Photoshop. I cropped the original image down by about 50%, added a Velvia action, ran through Noiseware, and tidied up a few areas.

I will upload the original in a few moments, so you can see what I started with.

Camera was tripod mounted, prefocused on the lemon in the water, flash on camera pointed slightly upwards to bounce it around, and I had a small lamp shining straight onto the lemon.

Thats all I can remember lol.

All c and c's very welcome.

Anthony

Great shot, you've done a cracking job considering you were only playing. I'll look forward to having a look at your original shot when you have uploaded it. Tracey

I like it a lot. You must be really pleased with his result. The composition - although an accident - looks carefully planned and there is a definite feeling of action in this shot. You've caught the scene at exactly the right instant.
My only niggle is that it looks more like an orange, but I'm not going to let that put me off voting because the colour is a great choice.

Good work - I look forward to seeing the original.
