Let them eat cake!

By TrevBatWCC
A few yards further along Whitby's Church Street from my previous upload is Marie Antoinette's Patisserie, another very delightful and quaint looking residence, but on this wet morning, no-one was brave enough to sit outside to eat their cakes! Sad

Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Trev how could you, this is the second time! First the Fudge and now the cakes, having lost two and a half stone I am trying to keep the weight off and you do this to me, great capture of another independent shop trying to survive against the supermarkets. Love the title.

Regards

Trev.

I've never noticed this. Which is uncharacteristic for me...

The reason for this could be something to do with the ash trays on the tables. Since it's a very narrow street we both tend to hurry past.
But it does make an attractive picture Smile

And I could take my little pastry upstairs too. A lovely little place, well captured Trev.
And eat cake we will, one of my favourite pass times, that's why I'm fat. Good comp Trev, well spotted and presented.

It looks another delightfully old fashioned shop which are fast becoming lost to us: excellent capture under indifferent weather conditions, Trev.

My goodness, that looks inviting, Trev - should be twinned with Sally Lunn's in Bath!!
I think the rainy day has added a lot to this picture.
