Letterbox Landscape

By conrad
I've always liked the British red letterboxes, phone boxes and doubledecker buses (no, not the new ones but the old ones, obviously), and combining them with a nice background was something I'd been looking for, when during the Pitlochry Meet Pete, Ian, Robbie and I drove past this one. I couldn't resist and had to shoot it, although there was a serious lack of nice light. So I decided to use my on-board flash to highlight the letterbox, using my 10mm lens to stand close enough for it to have an effect.

Not the most spectacular photo I've ever taken, but I do still quite like it.

Comments, critiques and modifications welcome!

I like it a lot, for french guy like me it's something exceptionnal.
I've seen one red english phonebox in the city of Arles in the south of France, so exceptionnal that it was attraction and subject of photos all day long.

Certainly a great location for one of these, like the light on it, makes it stand out well.
