Brilliant composition and use of limited depth of field - not to mention the way the snow veils the more distant parts of the scene.

Puts everything into perspective. In some places work is never done, or can be left.

Thanks for comments.

Today was eventful and hopefully unrepeatable. The lambing shed to where the sheep in the picture are heading had a roof on until a gust of wind at 6.30 am removed it. Taking out the the overhead electric in the process. Also damaging the gable end of house so to dangerous for electric board to reconnect. They have been very good though and got a generator to us before dark. With no electricity or water could not unfreeze pipework. Loaded trailer with barrels and went to fill up with water unfortunately lane frozen coming home so got land rover and trailer stuck, decided to to with tractor and got tractor stuck. Shovels out and unbelievably somehow managed to get them home. Barrels siphoned into cows.
Time for some tea .
Knowing that things can always be worse and also many other farms in similar situations. Lots of dairy farms having to empty milk away as they cannot get collections etc.
