I have wondered what it would take for me to sit on a pavement and beg: 'quite a lot' was my answer...
Not something one would choose to do, in any but desperate circumstances: I am amused by what looks like a mobile 'phone, and a packet of McVitie's Chocolate Digestive biscuits... And neither makes his plight any the less.
