Life is full of twists and turns

By Kaxxie
Happy Saturday everyone

These are images from Wisley. I was fascinated with the way the wisteria was twisting itself up the trees. I bet it looks stunning when it’s in flower.

Thank you so much for all your votes and comments on The stormy sky and the lighthouse. It was absolutely exhilarating being able to witness Storm Ciara. I have never experienced winds so strong that you are struggling to remain standing and when the spray hit it was great fun. I did actually think I had drowned my phone at one point and my hands were numb with cold so I sat in the car drying my phone and warming my hands in preparation for the next onslaught. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world! 😉

Take care

Great captures, it looks like some giant snakes are trying to strangle the trees.

I'm waiting for our wisteria to flower so you can come and look at that. Mind you, we planted it about seven years ago and it hasn't flowered yet.

This looks so much like the strangler fig down here that I went off on a bit of a search to find out if there was a relationship between it and wisteria. The strangler fig kills huge trees here - wraps its root around the tree's root and cuts off the food supply, The wisteria can kill a smaller tree apparently but it doesn't appear to be related,

Well spotted and captured

Super twisted set, Karen, with a perfect caption. We wouldn’t learn things if we didn’t have the twists, good to embrace them 🙂 wonderful to see this set!

Dave 🙂
