Lifeboat Station @ Rest Bay

By BigCol
Taken this morning on the South Wales meet. A small group of us headed out to Rest Bay in the vain expectation of maybe seeing some sun. There wasn't any and depending on which way you looked the sky was grey with either a blue cast or a magenta cast!
This is the Life Boat station at Rest Bay which is raised from the beach by this sea wall.

I like this Col, moody atmosphere and the image is lifted by that touch of artificial light on the station.
Glad you got something out of the miserable conditions

Well, nobody else has mentioned it - so I will! Wink

I really don't think the blue colour cast does anything for this photo. It is not the same as blue toning.

My preference would therefore be to correct the colour cast, or to convert to B/W and then add blue toning for a surreal effect. At present, it is a halfway house.

I can live with the colour cast, due to the colour temprature in which it was taken. To warm this up would take it away from the conditions in which it was taken.

Thanks for your original crit' Keith, much appreciated, an also for the follow up comment.
It's hard to explain to someone who wasn't there but the sky actually was that colour, or at least that's how I remember it.

As always it's horses for courses, different viewers, different views.

Thanks to everyone for looking and for the comments.
