Not my type of image really, however after a little processing in Lightroom I rather like it.

As soon as I saw it I made an instant association between the standpipe and that of a hospital Life Support Machine. The monochrome processing seems to exaggerate that feeling of fear and uncertainty, will he or she make it or not. In turn I have made a quite everyday image into one which in many ways is very strong and emotive. "I hope you like, and try to understand my interpretation?"

Thank you all for your great comments following yesterdays upload.

I hope that you all have a wonderful day ahead, for me I am off to my Country Estate for a little respite whilst Julie is in hospital having a little bit of work done here and there.

Regards as always Nathan

P.S. I shall be taking a camera and my Mac Air so I shall be capturing a few images and uploading them straight off the press where possible. Furthermore it will give me the opportunity to view and comment on your work as I go.

An interesting interpretation you have supplied to go along with this rather stark but effective B and W image, Nathan.
Hope you get lots of photos at your country estate.

A marvellous comparison, Nathan. In a relevant way, water is as much a life-line as a machine that saves your life in a hospital.

Keep well while you survey your country seat.Smile

My first thought was water and electricity! the broken plugs on top of the water standpipes almost made me quake in horror.

Ha then as it was in B&W I tried to find the hot water tap till I saw the feed to all the taps.. lots going on.

Love it
