This may, or may not work. However, we get a lot of sunset/sunrise shots that will look good to the eye and not so good to the camera. I always want a subject to use the sky as a background. This is such an image. A superb sunset sky and all I could see of any interest at all was the modern street light near our holiday home.

So, I shot it. I also shot as series just of the sky to keep as stock images, but this is an attempt to add at least something as a subject.

EOS 7D with 18/250 OS Sigma. ISO 200. Camera supported on post top. 1/200 @ f8. Sky adjusted in places with dodge and burn tools.

A very powerful street light Paul!!

looks a bit compressed and the street light creeps into the bottom corner and would have been better on a third line, nice colours but no real drama

The lamp made the picture..clouds represent movement, lamp represents tranquility... perfect match.
I remember that you have some birds in a kind of V shaped line shots... I think that they would look interesting in this sky...

Needs a bit more, as you suggest, Jas. Will have a look at my stock file.
