Light Dusting ...

By sut68
Another from a chilly morning atop Twisleton Scar End last year. It didn't look like we were going to get much luck with the light that morning, but the wintry sky we did get cast a lovely soft sheen on the frozen landscape.

Originally shot with this particular crop in mind ... that said the original aspect ratio looks good Grin

Cheers for looking in and getting past the thumbnail, apologies to those who viewed it before I took it down, but there was a problem with the upload.

Catch up in a little while.

Paul

EDIT: Just sorting a nice large print of this for a great bloke up in Scotland - cheers Dave Smile

Probably one of the best I've seen from here Paul, the crop works very well and when viewed large the detail is superb. What a great view.

Big thanks for your time all. I would really love to catch this place with some strong low directional light coming from underneath really dark and moody skies, maybe with a rainbow thrown in and some fork lightning too ... though I do wonder if I'm asking too much Wink

This is one of the most photographically inspiring pictures I've seen for a long time. I wish I could capture something like this. The colours and composition are really wonderful. Have to ask though, is the black stump to the right of the tree a cairn.

Jo, the black stump is actually a bush but there is a nice cairn to the right of the small distant tree on the lower level.

Thanks folks,

LOL ... we spend most of the time well apart so as not to be shooting the same shots, we do speak to each other though but normally only by walkie talkie and EPZ PM's Wink

Did you just change your avatar ... could've sworn it was different a minute or two ago???

Cheers Tom, it's an easy enough place to get to, if you're prepared for a little bit of an uphill hike and a precarious journey across the limestone that is ... maybe next time you're up?

Oh, and parking can be fun if you're not careful - thanks again Mel Wink
