On the way back from the March Rowardennan meet; Rich, Fran and myself came across this cracking bit of landscape near Settle. This was the first shot I took here.
Converted to mono in PS using Channel Mixer, slight curve tweak.
Have a great day folks and an even better weekend ... catch you later. Thanks for looking in!!!
A wall and an iconic tree always make a winner he he
Hope you`s are well and having fun.
Dave and crew
lovely bit of light there and nice detail
... 'tis an iconic tree Dave, lovely little location too with so many possibilities. We's all fine mate, hope you and yours are too buddy!!!
Quality and just made for b&w....
I thought so too mate Cheers for t'award, means a lot Chris
nice angle on the secret tree, have a good 'un
What can I say, another top quality photograph
Perfectly composed, and beautifully processed. Love how the light makes the skeletal branches stand out against that moody sky. Have a good weekend, Paul. Nearly Christmas, or so I'm told.
LOL ... I know what you mean Ian. I really must think about doing some Christmas shopping
Have a great weekend all of you, whatever you do!!!
Makes a great mono Paul.
Like the light and tones in this - good details too - well captured and converted.
Ta guys, possibly my fave mono [of mine] from this year!!!
Quote: I really must think about doing some Christmas shopping
I would if I were you, otherwise your life aint gonna be worth living for. LOL
Great image Paul,
You really found a little gem of a location here Paul. Well exploited and a cracking conversion to boot.
Be good to see you & Fran again if you make it over sometime during the Xmas period.
... I've done a little Lee, I just need to supplement it with some other bits though - honest!!!
It's a belting little spot mate, and one I/we will be exploring in more detail in the New Year I would think. Hopefully we'll get over sometime ... keep a sweet sherry to one side for 'her' - I'll be driving!!!
Will do. I'll dig the hipflask out!
Be good to see you Paul if you manage to get out (and I shake off this bug!!).
One to appreciate large, caught the light perfectly and a cracking conversion too. Well worth an RC
As long as it goes into a lovely lead crystal glass, I don't think she'll mind the crude Hip Flask
Crap thumbnail, so lucky you're famous otherwise this would get overlooked. Which would be a shame as the large version, whilst not being awesome is indeed a thing of moody beauty.
Cheers Dave, though it does look pretty tasty printed!!!
Lovely mono, love the tree. Sylvia
A peach Sutty.
Cheers you two ... only another 2 hrs 17 minutes and 34 seconds to go ... but who's counting?
Great ...looks like you may have got a bit damp later.

Bit too much empty sky at the top for me

A well classy mono Mate!!!!
Cheers Scotty, hope you're well mate and you have a great weekend too!!!
