Not sure what effect you were trying to achieve here - although there may be a link between 'guide dog' and 'darkness', I'm guessing.

Conventional wisdom would have it that the photo is very underexposed and has a colour cast. Also the dog looks as if it is floating in mid-air. Wink

I've uploaded a mod, but I appreciate this may not be what you were trying to portray.

coming over very dark here,underexposed,prefer carabosse mod.

Now I am going to be a complete arse here and say that I quite like what you have done. Yes conventionally speaking it is underexposed, but I guess you were trying to do something a bit different, in which case you have succeeded and I like it. Carabosse mod is good but its much the same as any other pet portrait.

I quite like the original as a different take on a pet portrait but I take CB's point about floating in the air. Also like ianmac's flipping so dog is looking into the pic.
