lightshow

In Ireland we only get a decent lightning storm once in a blue moon. I had no time to set up tripods etc. so I made a decision to open the shutter and allow a certain amount of blur in everything so as to create a contrast between the lightnings sharpness and the rest of the shot. Shot through glass in very heavy rain and shot in raw with a mind to use the incadescent setting to enhance the lightning and counter the street light. All comments would be appreciated.

I got a shot of some lightening last night, but mine were boring single lines (no forks). Well captured.

I love it. I tried 3 weeks ago & failed to capture one photo. But it was a great show of mother nature's fireworks.

Very atmospheric (Boom Boom!). Really nice shot, I was trying to capture some lightning yesterday, but failed miserably! Great stuff.

An interesting shot,well worth taking if only for the experiance. I would play around in P/Shop to see if it can be improved.Tony

It's lightning so I love it whatever the set up or circumstances.Just posted my first success.
