Lilac Buds

By JimV
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
This shot of the buds on my lilac tree was taken on 19th. April, I'm hoping to record their progress to full bloom and then death as I fear this may be the tree's last year. I noticed around the base that the bark is in very bad shape with deep scratches which tells me that Tilly is using it as her scratching post, so I'm afraid this may be the last year I'll have it!

Many thanks for your fine response to 'A Cloudburst' very much appreciated. Now to see if I can upload this one as I am finding what was going on last night from 5am. onwards with the site.

Nice close-up, Jim.
I have been having a lot of problems with the site lately too.
