Lily of the valley

Found some Japanese andromeda in a private garden close to where I live. They are so pretty

Our State of Emergency has been extended until September 2021, wonder if life will ever be the same for us in Melbourne
To put our situation in perspective...Melbourne has over 6 million people living in it.
Since the beginning of the year we have had a total 18, 231 cases. We had few deaths until a month ago when healthcare workers infected over 1000 old people in aged care. Now we have 502 deaths of which 90% are over 80 years old.
We had 116 new cases overnight...yes out of 6 million people. We have less than 4000 active cases left.
We are in a severe lockdown for this...no visitors to homes, not allowed to see friends or family. Compulsory masks outdoors and only allowed out our homes for an hour a day. All shops closed besides food shops. We also have an 8pm until 5 am curfew. Our Premier now insists we will remain in face masks for at least a year or until a vaccine is found. Iím really over this now.

Things must be pretty serious if the extension is for another year. Hope it's not going to
take that long to sort it out. Lovely image, Colleen.
Stay safe and well.

Iíve added a comment above. Itís not bad at all. For a City of over 6 million people to have just over 100 cases a day is small, most Countries would be over the moon.

Very beautiful flowers, Colleen, and a stunning presentation too 😃👍
All sounds very drastic over there, think I'd go mad in those conditions long before September 2021 😢
My thoughts are with you, try to keep your pecker up 🙁

Politicians are lost with this: the absolute need to go with the science, coupled with the fact that the science is uncertain, still exploring what's going on, and how.

It's complicated, and I think many leaders have swung between over-reacting and under-reacting. and back again. Especially the more gung-ho libertarian ones.

There are no simple answers...

Lovely picture, by the way.

A beauty Colleen. Your lock down does seem severe compared to other countries.
