Limber pine

By waltknox
Pinus flexilis.... these trees commonly found in North America rockies can live up to 1000 years....and tales have been told of them losing all their needles for long intervals and then growing them back again. The wood has little commercial value because of their irregular shape. Their interesting shape does however find approval with landscape gardeners and photographers .

thx for looking in
special thx to all those that voted and commented and awarded my previous upload.
best regards Walt

Splendid image Walt, I'm seeing a very nice silhouette conversion.

Certainly an interesting tree to photograph, Walt and this is a very nice example of it. Smashing!

Beautiful Walt. And my guess like bristlecone pines, they grow very slowly and are highly drought resistant.
