Lindy Hoppers

The Cinque Ports Lindy Hoppers entertaining the visitors at Salute To The 40's event at Chatham Historic Dockyard.

Before Sunday I had never heard of Lindy Hop, so a brief overview would be that it is an American Social Dance evolved from Harlem in the !920's / !930's with Jazz Music from the that time.

Thank you ladies for stopping by with the comments Smile

As for dress movement.... would really love to have the courage to approach my local Spanish Flamenco dancing club to take some pictures as I got some great shots out in Spain way back in 1997 with my film camera.

Thanks Jeff, a great boost to my memory, from the 50's up to about 3 years ago my wife and I used to do this and Bebop, owing to a number
of health problems it had to stop. Eric.
