Little Egret

By TerryMcK
A Little Egret scans the surface for fish in the ebbing waters of the Camel Estuary, near Padstow, Cornwall. Despite the "little" tag, this elegant bird has a length of 22-26in and a wingspan of 35-42in (55-65cm/88-106cm).

Thank you for your interest in my previous feature, "Black-tailed Godwit." I have some catching up to do...

Great comp and such a lovely reflection. Details in the white plumage are beautiful. Is there a "Big" Egret? Sorry if that sounds silly!
