Little One

By DavidWhistlecraft
The smallest British bird, the Goldcrest (Regulus regulus) is sometimes a difficult one to get very close to.

A small number of these came ashore in a couple of hours during January at Homle and would allow you to almost stand next to them as they fed and then preened in the conifers. A real treat and one I hope to experience again.
