Little owl

I would like your opinions on this please.
I really appreciate bird images more since I tried to take photos of them lol it is not easy.

I think the major advantage is lens and distance. I've only recently started to take some in the garden, and thats hard enough.
To get a nice shot of an Owl is super, well captured.

My brother kev is right about lens and distance you can get good pictures with a reasonable lens but distance is the main enemy if they are wild birds you need stealth and plenty of patience i can make my lens into a 400mm and still struggle i have to crop a lot in my pictures then i lose quality in the image. Your image is great but was it taken at quite a long distance. Gary

Well your doing ok so far rachel,this is a good image ,its all about lenses,to capture a bird of any sort in captivity can be really easy,but to capture them in natural habitatis is another thing ,because its then the lens comes in to question, thats my view anyway ,but your doing excellently,regards

Agree with the others birds are sometimes difficult but worth the effort,nice capture.

great capture good detail i been looking to get one of these, think alot is down to luck on how close you can get and how long they stay still..ish and ive found a new word ..patience lol.great shot
