Little White Flower

By DicksPics
Taken yesterday, I have no idea of the name of this little flower.

I sowed some wild flower seeds a couple of months ago and this is one of the lovely blooms.

If anyone could help with an ID, I’d be very grateful - I have tried to identify it but failed miserably - the information on the packet was no help at all!

Many, most appreciated thanks for all clicks and comments on my ‘Orange Marigold’ upload.Smile

My day was made by the User Awards from Carol(CarolAnnLauderdale), Kate(Irishkate), Len(Len1950), Lynne(LynneJoyce), Robert(Jeddahknight111), Joan(EMJAYCEE), Peter(Mollycat), Danny(danbrann), Graham(digital_boi), John(lifesnapper) and Myra(myrab) - many thanks, folks!SmileSmile

Have a good day,

Richard

I can see why Dave felt it was THIS flower, but the centre isn't right.
The size is difficult to assess, but I still don't know what it isSad.

It's from the species prettyflowersorous and it grows in gardens...not a lot but occasionally for photographers to practice their skills on. A cracking Shot Richard.

Haven't a clue what it is, Richard - I've searched my iPad app of wild flowers, but can't find anything like this! Sad It's a lovely flower though, and very nicely captured Smile

Thank you all for your votes and comments today, folks - much appreciated, as always.

Thanks to Dave for his help with identification - I think it's a move in the right direction but, as Pamela has said, the centre isn't right, unfortunately.

I've re-visited the garden centre where I purchased the seeds - they weren't able to help!Sad
On their advice, I've contacted Suttons seeds to find out how to send them this picture ....... if they can identify the variety, I'll let you know.

Life is full of challenges!!

I think it is quite beautiful and my guess would be a new variety of Geranium (not Pelargonium! but geranium). If you look at this site http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/plants/11621465/The-very-best-geranium-varieties-to-grow.html there are some which have similarities, albeit that they are slightly pink. You never know you may have a completely new variety which could be worth money!!! if the size of the flower is between 1 and 2 cms then that fits the geranium variants. It would be helpful to see the leaves - they are often more clearly a pointer than the flower.

Excellent photo.

In my expert opinion, looking at the stem and the petals, I can confidently confirm that it is definitely a flower Blush

I can also confirm that this is great shot of said flower

A lovely shot but I'm afraid I can't ID this, it doesn't particularly lok like a wild flower, not one you'd get in a seed packet anyway.
